35. Cuffs In Filet Crochet With Lace Edging

Yarn: 100 % mercerized cotton, 100 g = approx 325 m
Yarn Amount: approx 25 g for the shorter ones and approx 30 g for the longer ones
Crochet Hook: 2,5 mm or size needed to obtain the gauge
Gauge: 12 filet squares and 14 rounds = 10 cm
Size: Woman's M
Measurements: 17-20 cm around, approx 14 cm long

Abbreviations:
st(s), ch(s), sl st – stitch(es), chain/chain stitch(es), slip stitch
sc, hdc, dc – single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet
3 dc – work the indicated amount of stitches each in next stitch
(3 dc) – work all the stitches within parentheses in next stitch or as directed
sk 5 – skip the indicated amount of stitches
chsp2 – chain space consisting of indicated amount chain stitches
pct – picot: chain 2 and make slip stitch into the first chain stitch
{ } – repeat instructions within braces as many times as directed
{ :: } – repeat instructions within braces as many times as directed ignoring instructions after double colon while working the last repeat

Cuff
The cuff is worked in rounds with a jump between rounds, from bottom to top. Note that it's not a regular way to work in rounds – usually when you work in rounds you are crocheting in the same direction all the time, in this pattern you are going to work back and forth. But the end of the round will be joined with the beginning of the round and this way the cuff is going to be formed as a tube. Both cuffs are worked in the same way. The work starts from the right side.
Round 1: ch 60, sl st in first ch to form the ring, ch 5, sk 2, { 1 dc, ch 2, sk 2 } 19 times, sl st in third ch on working round, turn the work. / 20 filet squares

The Shorter Lace Edging
The edging is worked along the bottom edge of a cuff in rounds in a regular way.
Round 1: Attach the yarn in first ch on round 1, ch 1, 1 sc into same st where the yarn was attached, { 2 sc in chsp2, :: 1 sc in ch on round 1 under dc } 20 times, sl st in first sc on working round. / 60 sc
Round 2: ch 1, 1 sc in first sc on round 1, { ch 2, sk 2, :: 1 sc } 20 times, sl st in first sc on working round. / 20 chsp2
Round 3: sl st in chsp2, ch 1, 1 sc into same chsp2 where last sl st was worked, { ch 2, :: 1 sc in shsp2 } 20 times, sl st in first sc on working round. / 20 chsp2
