Wrist Warmer
The wrist warmer is worked in rows on single-pointed straight needles. Both wrist warmers are knitted in the same way. Cast on 44 stitches, use long-tail cast-on and work over two needles held together to get an elastic edge. The wrist warmer consists of 6 pattern repeats each over 7 stitches plus 2 stitches for side edges (6x7+2=44). The work starts from the wrong side.
Row 1: p44.
Row 2: k1, { k2tR, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, k2tL } 6 times, k1. / 44 sts

Bind off using ribbing bind-off. Sew up the sides of the wrist warmer using mattress stitch. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Cowl
The cowl is knitted in the same way as the wrist warmer, only wider and a bit longer. The cowl consists of 16 pattern repeats each over 7 stitches plus 2 stitches for side edges, thus it is 114 stitches to cast on (16x7+2=114). The ribbing on the upper part of the cowl is worked over 25 rows, that is rows 24-48. Bind off and sew up the cowl in the same way as the wrist warmer.
