39. Cuffs In Beige With Long Lace Edging

Yarn: 100 % mercerized cotton, 100 g = approx 250 m
Yarn Amount: approx 75 g
Crochet Hook: Tunisian 4,5 mm or size needed to obtain the gauge
Gauge: 23 stitches and 22 rows in Tunisian simple stitch = 10 cm

Abbreviations:

The return pass is worked as follows: bring the yarn over the hook and pull it through one loop on hook, continue to bring the yarn over the hook and pull it through two loops on hook until you have only one loop left on hook.
Cuff
The cuff is worked in Tunisian simple stitch from top to bottom. Both cuffs are worked in the same way.
Row 1: ch 41, 40 ts.
Rows 2-29: Tunisian simple stitch.
Row 30: Finish off: Insert the hook under next vertical bar on previous round, bring the yarn over the hook and pull it through 2 loops. Repeat it to the end of the row. Do not cut the yarn.
Edges
Continue to crochet the left edge of the cuff right away. The left and the right edges of the cuff are worked in three rows, and the top and the bottom edges in one row, see Chart 1. The left edge for the right cuff is work in three rows in sc. The left edge for the left cuff is worked in three rows as follows:
Row 1: ch 1, 29 sc, turn.
Row 2: ch 1, 1 sc, { ch 3, sk 3, :: (2 sc) } 7 times, 1 sc, turn.
Row 3: 1 sl st in sc, { 3 sl sts in each of 3 chs, :: 2 sl sts in each of 2 sc } 7 times, 1 sl st in sc.
Continue to crochet the bottom edge of the cuff (the bottom edge is the one at the bottom when you hold the cuff in the same direction as it was worked). Start with 1 ch. Work then 2 sc for the left cuff and 3 sc for the right cuff along the left side of the left edge inserting the hook under two threads on the sides of the rows. Continue to work 40 sc along the bottom side of the cuff. Leave a 20 cm long tail, use it for making the last single crochet stitches at the end of the bottom edge after you have made the right edge.
Attach a new yarn in the first stitch on the right side of the cuff and work the right edge and the top edge similarly. Only now the edge should be without button holes for the left cuff, and with button holes for the right cuff.
Lace Edging
The lace edging is worked in regular crochet in rows. If you hold the cuff in the same direction as it was worked, the edging should be crocheted on the top side ot the cuff. The edging is worked over 41 stitches, start crocheting it so that you have the same amount of stitches left on both sides of it. Start working from the wrong side.
Row 1: Attach the yarn in the stitch where the edging should begin, ch 1, 1 sc in same stitch where the yarn was attached, { ch 4, sk 3, 1 sc } 10 times. / 10 chsp4
Row 2: ch 2, 1 dc in first sc on row 1 (looking from the front), { (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in chsp4 } 10 times, 1 sdc in last sc on row 1. / 10 V-dcgroups with chsp2 in the middle
Row 3: ch 3, { (1 dc, ch 20, 1 dc, ch 20, 1 dc) in chsp2, :: ch 2, sk 2, 1 sc between two V-dcgroups, ch 2 } 10 times, 1 tr in last dc on row 2. / 20 chsp20, 30 dc, 9 sc
