Mitten
The mitten is worked in rounds. Start with the edging and use the one-colored yarn. Cast on 17+8+16+7=48 stitches dividing them over 4 needles as directed, use long-tail cast-on and work over two needles held together to get an elastic edge. Make sure that the cast-on edge is not twisted and using the fourth needle (the one with 7 stitches) knit 1 stitch from the first needle (the one with 17 stitches). / 16+8+16+8=48 sts
Round 1: p48.
Round 2: k48.
Round 3: { 1 bobble, k1, 1 bobble, k3, 1 bobble, k1 } 6 times. / 48 sts
Round 4: k48.
Round 5: { k1, k2tR, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, k2tL } 6 times. / 48 sts

Change to self-striping yarn, start knitting with a color that doesn't match the edging. When you come up to a color that matches the edging, knit a round with bobbles. The bobbles are worked only on the back side of the mitten – on the third and fourth needles for left mitten, and on the first and second needles for right mitten. Make 5 bobbles spreading them evenly over these needles so that the middle bobble is in the middle of the back side, and with 3 stitches between the bobbles.
